2005 Ferrari F430 - Manual
This 2005 Ferrari F430 is a beautifully presented example of the last analogue modern Ferrari V8, equiped with the highly sought after manual gearbox and finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa paint work. Power is derived from a mid-mounted naturally-aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine which sends 360kW/465Nm to the rear wheels. This car is fitted with the six-speed gated manual transmission from new. It currently shows 37,854 miles on the odometer from new.
The Ferrari F430 was first introduced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show as a major revision of the 360 Modena platform and brought major styling and mechanical changes. However, the 4.3-litre beating heart was all-new from Ferrari, featuring a flat-plane crankshaft and the variable valve timing system from the Enzo. Developed in-period alongside the Ferrari Enzo, the F430 is often referred to as a “Baby Enzo” thanks to its familiar design which borrowed more than a few aspects of the iconic Enzo design. Much of its DNA was borrowed from Ferrari’s F1-derived motorsport success, but true Ferraristi appreciated the crackle-finish intake plenums through the mid-mounted engine bay glass. These days the F430 equiped with the six speed manual gearbox is sought after by collectors as it was the last mid engined Ferrari offered with a manual transmission.
Finished in the classic Ferrari colour scheme of Rosso Corsa over Nero leather, this F430 is the quintessential Ferrari specification. The owner has been careful not to take too much away from the car’s gorgeous original condition, but has fitted a few desirable and necessary modifications including a Tubi exhaust, Agency Power headers, Capristo header heat blankets, Alpine head unit. The rest of the car presents as an early F430 without the Challenge rear grille, and with red carpeting. It rides on a set of near new 19-inch Ferrari alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
This car was built new in Maranello, Italy in 2005 and was delivered new to the United Kingdom. It has since traded hands to one other owner, making it a two-owner car since new. The current custodian took ownership in 2011 before personally importing it to Australia in 2013. While in the UK it was serviced by official Ferrari dealerships, once in Australia the current owner had it maintained by Ferrari specialists, Racing Red in NSW. It was then serviced by Anthony Costello Automotive (ACT) from 2019 until the present day. The common issue around the headers on F430s has been addressed by replacing the problematic factory headers with Agency Power headers. The last full service occurred in 2021; with the seller noting the F430 is running strong. The car’s engine mounts and front end suspension bushings were replaced recently.
As seen in photos, this Ferrari exterior presentation is extremely clean. The Rosso Corsa paintwork shows without major fault or imperfections, though finer points of stone chipping are seen on the front bar. Thankfully this car is protected by 3M paint protection film on the front end and the marks are only on the film and not the paint underneath. Elements such as the rear splitter, engine bay trim, front intakes, and side intakes all show without damage. All four wheels show without curb rash and the Pirelli tyres retain a deep level of tread.
Interior-wise, this F430 has been kept in clean condition without obvious wear and tear. Known problems such as sticky buttons have previously been replaced. The Nero leather appears without tears or fraying, with wear in line with age can be seen on the seat bolsters. The remainder of the interior – including dash, door cards, and carpeting – all shows in immaculate order.
This car will come with a suite of Ferrari kit including two keys, service books, tool kit, battery tender, Ferrari car cover, fire extinguisher, and a CTEK battery charger.
