This 2005 BMW M6 (E63) is a cleanly-kept, two-owner example which has only been serviced by BMW since new. BMW’s controversially-designed 6 Series made its debut in 2003 to mixed reviews, but it wasn’t until 2005 when the manufacturer released the performance M6 variant that people really started to take notice. It was a return to form the M6 nameplate which previously only existed in the 1980s with the E24 M6. The radical styling was penned by Chris Bangle and found favour with those with quirkier tastes, but one thing that everyone loved was the 5.0-litre V10 engine. It was an incredibly large engine to fit to a sporting coupe and its development was formed through BMW’s efforts in Formula 1. The car itself features a carbon-fibre roof for a lower centre of gravity, somewhat unheard of for the era. These days the M6 has come full circle to become a cult classic, while remaining devastatingly quick even today.

Painted in Silverstone Metallic over a black leather interior, this specification finds broad appeal. The interior also features suede headlining and carbon-fibre trim to set off its sports aesthetic. There have been no aftermarket additions made to this car’s as-delivered specification – the car has remained unmodified since new. The car rides on a set of original 19-inch M alloy wheels wrapped in Continental ContiSport Contact tyres.

Built in mid-2005 and complied in Australia late in December 2005, this M6 was delivered through Bib Stillwell BMW in VIC. It is now a two-owner car and can boast a full BMW service history. The seller has owned the vehicle for approximately two years and states the vehicle is a country car, having completed much of its mileage over longer drives. It is up to date with servicing as per the service books and recent inspection, according to the seller. It is said to be in flawless mechanical condition.

As seen in photos the exterior condition of this M6 displays in excellent order. There are next to no marks seen on the Silverstone Metallic paintwork and the effect shines nicely in the sun. Some minor paint chipping and scratching can be seen on the underside of the front bar, consistent with the car’s low clearance. Aspects such as the car’s carbon-fibre roof show in great, glossy condition. There are tiny points of curb rash identified on the left-hand-side wheels, however the tyres display a good amount of tread remaining.

Inside the cabin this M6 shows in great order. Black leather upholstery shows without obvious wear and tear while few points of marking are seen on the door cards, dashboard, or instrumentation. Carpeting also shows unstained and without fray damage. Carbon-fibre inlays display in perfect condition considering the age of the car. Minor scuff marking is observed on the passenger seat back.
