2002 Ferrari 360 Spider
This 2002 Ferrari 360 Spider is a well-kept example of the Italian marque’s millennium-era supercar, presenting in quintessential Rosso Corsa red. It is powered by a mid-mounted 3.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 294kW/373Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission which allows the 360 Spider to sprint from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds. This example currently shows 37,405km on its odometer since new.
The Ferrari 360 Spider was revealed one year after its hard-top counterpart at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. The 360 was designed with a convertible in mind, meaning that the usual loss of torsional rigidity (by removing the roof) was mitigated from the outset through the use of strengthened sills, a stronger windscreen frame and a tougher floorpan. It was the first Ferrari to use an aluminium chassis, introduced multi-stage traction control and equipped independent electronically-adjustable dampers.
Currently wrapped in Rosso Corsa over a Blu Scuro leather interior, this 360 Spider is blue metallic underneath. It features the gated six-speed manual transmission, an upgraded Kenwood head unit and a black cloth roof. It rides on a set of 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres. Yellow brake calipers hide underneath the black wheels.
First delivered in late 2001 to its original owner in Colchester, United Kingdom, this 360 Spider was subsequently imported to Australia in 2013. Servicing has been completed by Ferrari Melbourne throughout its entire time in Australia with comprehensive servicing and maintenance being undertaken each year.
The exterior of this 360 Spider is currently wrapped in the famous Rosso Corsa red, but the paint underneath is a blue metallic. Both wrap and the paint underneath are in generally good condition. The wrap is beginning to peel in a few areas, though its exterior finish is largely unmarked. There is some minor staining of the wrap around the exhaust outlet. Headlights have not been painted to match the exterior red. Grilles, diffusers and mesh are all in fair condition for the vehicle’s age. The wheels are in great condition, as are the Pirelli P Zero tyres they’re wrapped in.
The blue leather interior has held up remarkably well over the last 20 years, with the seats retaining good shape and showing minimal signs of wear. The blue leather on the dash, steering wheel and door cards look to be in great condition. Blue carpetry has been well cared for, unmarked of any staining. The Kenwood radio, electric seats, and air conditioning all function as intended. The dash lights up as normal and shows no error signs.
This Ferrari 360 will be sold with all accompanying documentation including service books. It retains its original tool kit.
